Possibly, DOGE establishes ad hoc committee for the sake of transparency

How did Musk know that there are fake SSA accounts getting American tax dollars? He knew exactly where to go. Disbursement of Social Security funds to fake, non-existent entities who are listed as legitimate account holders should not be.
Medicare and Medicaid payments given out to a fake entity that doesn’t qualify to get payments is what Musk is stopping.  No one opposes this mission. However transparency of your findings should be shared in-committee in Congress. DOGE needs a congressional committee and a DOGE report of its findings, that whoever cares to see can examine. THIS WAY, Musk AND DOGE are blameless. Transparency is key in America.πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Executives like Musk have a fiduciary duty to be honest and trustworthy and transparent. The SEC is always looking at him.

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in the United States, as established by President Donald Trump, operates within the framework of the United States DOGE Service (formerly known as the United States Digital Service). Here's an overview of the staffing and roles based on available information:

- **Leadership**: Elon Musk serves as the Administrator of the U.S. DOGE Service, which is housed within the Executive Office of the President. Initially, Vivek Ramaswamy was mentioned to co-lead with Musk, but he left before the project began or shortly after its establishment.

- **Staffing**:

  - The DOGE office is expected to have about 20 employees within its office in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. However, the broader U.S. DOGE Service, which includes the temporary organization, has teams embedded in various federal agencies.

  - Each federal agency is required to establish a DOGE team of at least four employees. These teams typically consist of a DOGE Team Lead, an engineer, a human resources specialist, and an attorney. These positions can include special government employees (SGEs), who are temporary workers limited to 130 days of service within a 365-day period.

- **Selection Process**: Agency heads select DOGE Team members in consultation with the USDS Administrator. There has been mention of a recruitment process for "super high-IQ small-government revolutionaries" willing to work extended hours, indicating a selective process for those passionate about efficiency and cost-cutting.

- **Specific Appointments**: Katie Miller was announced as the first appointee to the DOGE panel, though her specific role within the structure wasn't detailed beyond this announcement.

This setup reflects a blend of permanent staff from the reorganized U.S. Digital Service and temporary or special employees aimed at implementing the president's efficiency agenda. Remember, the temporary organization aspect of DOGE is set to end on July 4, 2026, unless extended or otherwise changed by further executive action.

The current Secretary of the Treasury of the United States is **Scott Bessent**. He was sworn in as the 79th Secretary of the Treasury on January 28, 2025.

As of the information available, **Matthew Garber** was named as the Fiscal Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, replacing David Lebryk in this role. However, specific details on the transition or the exact timing of Garber's appointment might not be fully detailed in the public domain or could be subject to change based on the latest government announcements or news updates.

- **David A. Lebryk** has been a significant figure in the U.S. Treasury Department. He served as the Fiscal Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, a role in which he managed various financial operations, including the disbursement of federal payments amounting to trillions of dollars annually.

- **Career Highlights**:

  - He has spent over 35 years in public service, serving under seven U.S. Presidents.

  - His responsibilities included overseeing the financial infrastructure of the government, which encompassed managing payment systems, debt collection, and financial management services.

- **Recent Events**:                                   Link

  - There have been discussions and posts on social media platforms like X suggesting that David Lebryk resigned or was forced out due to conflicts with Elon Musk's team or others seeking access to government payment systems for auditing or other purposes. However, these should be treated with caution as they often reflect opinions or speculation rather than confirmed facts.

He retired rather than allow access to the payment system by Trump's team.

- **Current Status**: As of the last available information, David Lebryk has left his position at the Treasury Department, with his departure linked by some to disagreements over access to sensitive financial data or system audits.

The current Deputy Secretary of the Treasury of the United States is **Michael Faulkender**. He was nominated by President-elect Donald Trump on December 4, 2024, for the position.
